This thread is for the soon to be produced 2008 KOTCT Wooden Dollars. I WILL NOT know the actual prices until later this week but assume they will remain at 2 or $5.00. Hopefully an extra $1.00 to $1.50 will take care of the bubble mailer and postage. All Aussies orders will be handled by Nevol again this year. I will send out the other orders or transfer them to CoinCrusader for shipment with the silver and copper medallions when they are struck. That choice would be yours. I will post a photo of the 2008 woodie as quickly as I can get one but it still may be a few days as I want to avoid that first prototype expense if I can and just go into normal production after I see the final sketch.
As I stated, this woodie is dedicated to our Ladies so it is a tad bit different from our other two woodies. I do believe it will serve its purpose!

I'll take 5 sets (10 Woodies), so that I'll have spare ones already in OZ for any new Aussie members further down the track.
Any Aussies who want to order 2008 Woodies but don't have PayPal can do a transfer to my Bank A/C & I'll send their funds via PayPal to Terry for them. Remember the Aussie $ has taken a tumble recently. US$5.00 at present is approx $5.95, so when I send payment for my order. I'll pay at least AU$6.10 for each pair ($5.95 + 1.5% Paypal fee). If there are any excess funds left from my order, it'll be my small contribution to the forum coffers.
As the whole Australian consignment will be sent to me, I'll cover all postage costs, ie to Australia & within Australia.
PM me for my Bank A/C details, but make sure you post your orders HERE in this thread.

Thank you Nevol for reminding the folks there is a difference between currencies throughout the world. Quite honestly it had slipped my mind along with the PayPal fees. Will probably see the finished sketches tomorrow or Wed. so hopefully the woodies will be ready rather quickly. Will keep everyone posted.

Hey Nancy, Do you still just want ten? I think there are about 36 been ordered but not sure how many of them will come out of your ten. Let me know so I can place the initial order accordingly as I don't intend to have many of these extras lying around seeing how 2008 is nearing an end.

Hi Terry, Yes please, my order of 10 is totally separate from all other Aussie orders. I'm just going to keep some 'spares' handy for any new Aussie members later on.
I did the same last year and only have 3 x 2007 spares left now, so this year I'm getting a few more.
It's the Irish in me, I need to be sure to be sure. ;D ;D

I have approved the designs for the 2008 Year of the Knightess Wooden Dollar and should have the first 50 in hand by Friday evening. I will mail them out in the order payments are received. Nevol I will need total number to send to your address in OZ as, if I understand correctly, you will receive 10 plus the other Oz orders. I will also start another thread showing who has ordered, who has paid and when they are shipped plus the total monies spent and taken in. This way everyone will know exactly where we stand on this annual fund raiser (not much but it is fun).

I'll send my Bank A/C details to my compatriots and once funds have arrived, I'll transfer the booty to Terry. I'd like to try to do it all in one transaction though, so will wait till everyone has paid.
As stated earlier, I will pay all postage costs from the US to Oz & withiin OZ as well. This is just my way of saving the forum the costs for postage.
At a cost of US$5.15 ($5 + .15¢ PayPal fees) per set, that converts to AU$6.45 on today's rates, but I know for a fact that Paypal uses a lower conversion rate, as I always have to pay a bit extra in AU$'s at their rate.
I'll leave it up to individuals as to how much they send me, but would appreciate it being at least $6.50 per set. That way, Terry should receive close to US$5 for each set coming to OZ. Every cent sent to me will be sent to Terry.

I will try and get a photo of the 2008 Wooden Dollar "Tribute to the Knightess" posted this weekend. TKO may have to play a major role but we will get one on. I think one side will definitely draw some comments from the guys! I tried to pay tribute to the Knightess of old days on one side and to the modern Knightess on the other. Guess I will see how well I did?

So far I've received payment from 3 Knights in OZ. Another 2 have advised that funds have been sent. Still haven't heard from the remaining 2.
The 3 Knights whose funds have arrived, very generously added something extra to cover postage, for me to have a drink etc, but as I posted earlier, all funds received by me will go to the forum, so anything extra will also be going to Terry.
I hope the Aussie $ recovers soon. Not that long ago it was up in the US.95-.96 cent range & yesterday it was only US.80¢-.81¢.

I hope so too, part of my retirement fund is in Australia, although I'm years away from being able to collect. I remember the Aussie $ fell below $0.50 US when I lived there, so it's nice to see it's well above that mark.

I noted that you were going to send 'every cent'. It would'n't have changed my payment amount, but I think I might send you something for acting as the point of contact. How about..... a roll of 2008 10 cents? My rolls (every one so far) have been producing a number with die clashes. You can keep the roll, open it or pass them on. Whatever. ;D
Yes. Yes, Ill try for some piccies re the die clash today. ;D Its only small, but its definite and has been repeated at least a dozen times so far. I'm waiting to get the big one that these must have come from. 8)

All funds now rec'd from Aussie Knights. These figures are all AU$, so I'm transferring $110 AU which should convert roughly to US$85.50, and Paypal take their chop before Terry gets the funds, so I reckon we're well & truly covered.
I think at least US$80 should make it intact & our orders total $70.00, not including Justa's... as he paid Terry directly.

I will begin shipping the first batch of 2008 Knights of the Coin Table "YEAR OF THE KNIGHTESS" wooden dollars the first of the week. I (lucky me) have already placed my two in airtite containers to protect them from the elements and termites!!! ;D Hopefully I can get TKO to post a good photo in the next day or two and you will then understand why I want mine protected! :o One side (Obverse) shows a head shot of our modern day knightess and the other (reverse) shows the mythical fighting knightess from days of old, (Yes fellows she is a beauty). I have made arrangements to have additional woodies lasered should be exceed the initial order of 50. We have sold 48 as of this
posting.
All orders as of this date, Oct. 4, 2008 are packaged up and ready for the mail on Monday.
NEVOL I have packaged 30 woodies for you. Is that still correct?

The TURTLES are on the way to Texas, Missouri, North Carolina, Canada and Australia! If you live in one of those areas your turtle should arrive soon. I would like a little feedback on the overall appearance of this year's wooden dollar. (Be nice Ladies!) One thing is for certain, "It's the best look'in wooden dollar I have ever seen in my life!" So I would like to know what you Knight and Knightess wooden dollar collectors think of this one! :o

Tobyle I still have a few and Nevol's are on the turtle right now. The choice is yours but I must admit Nevol is a tad bit closer to you and her woodies are also closer than mine are. We will make sure you get them so let one of us know for sure.
