Little Larry and the Police Station
December 06, 2014, 08:46:47 PM
Little Larry and his Kindy class had an excursion to the local police. station. After a lecture of how they needed to be good citizens, the class was taken through the Building and shown the finger print machine, cells and finally the wanted posters. The Inspector pointed to one photo and told the class that this person was the State's most wanted. "Peers to me" said Larry, "they should have kept him at the photo stage".

I don't get it either. BUT, this reminds me of a true story. Many, many snows ago, my grandfather took a bunch of his grand kids to a local jail to show us around. (He was a retired police chief of this very large city) There was an empty cell and he told all of the grand kids to go into the cell. The three in front of me went in first and I thought I'd never get out so I ran out of the station and across a busy street.  I barely made it across the street right in front of a moving streetcar. My grandfather ran out and thought that the streetcar hit me. A woman on the sidewalk later said that the streetcar missed me by inches. I was around 5 or 6 yrs old at the time. And by the way, I spent 18 yrs in jail awhile ago. (HA, I was an industrial foreman in a prison......DON'T jump to conclusions!)
