Probably ought to change "They do our laundry" to U.S. "Welfare" state. They send all of their people, including the criminals, up north to work so they can send all their money back home to support their REAL home economy! The criminals get caught up here due to the fact our law enforcement system works so they get free room and board, plus free health care, for the rest of their lives all courtesy of the U.S. taxpayers and while they are incarcerated their families will get free welfare and benefits again courtesy of the U.S. taxpayers. What a great bunch of people to have for northern neighbors! And should a REAL American suffer some set backs and need assistance, well tough luck old boy, you can't get into that system!

And I might add we only think of the French as pussies which brings me to the lastest French joke;

Saw a advertisement for a gun sale. All French military weapons for sale, never used, dropped once! Cheap!

Also heard when they opened Euro Disney they had a huge fireworks display the first night and a French garrison, stationed down the road, surrendered?

I can't make out what it says, on the map, where Australia is located? Is it the same as Canada as I can't quite make that out either!
Hey we get banana's from down south!

On Australia it says Kangaroos
But they left out the Limeys

Joke
English soldiers have red uniforms so you do not see your neighbor soldier bleeding to death

French soldiers have brownish uniforms so you do not see when they are tactically retreating they soiled their pants

Flemish Television VTM reported the United Nations or some such organisation complained that Autonomous Flanders in Belgium was kind of restrictive like in giving unequal opportunities to certain euh etnic groups

They said is was unfair to demand that somebody spoke a mininimum of Flemish to rent a subsidised house (probably at less then half the going rate ) to live in Flanders

It is reported the Flemish government is not going to change Flemish law to please ...... ;D

Here's to Flanders then!

By all my coins, I dearly wish the US would actually make English the official Language of the United States. >< I have nothing against other languages, nor speaking other languages; but it is a sincere waste and problem that half the citizens in America and almost all the illegal tax wasters can't speak a word of it.

Do add this coin to my collection?

And the 'doublespeak' I heard a month ago? Sen. Clinton's said this concerning English as the U S A's official language, "I can see that English should be the 'national' language, but NOT the official language." Hmmm. A little vote-getting comment Senator?

Considering there are allready three official languages in Belgium
Flemish in autonomous state of Flanders
Flemish and French in the autonomous state of Brussels
French and German in the autonomous state of Wallonia

Considering all foreigners legal or otherwise prefer to learn French if they have to learn a second language

I think this is an ellegant way of saying no free meal anymore for newcomers to Flanders
The party is over

Oh and they blamed the " Best intrest of Flanders" party for the medlling of the United Nations since this party grows every year
and now is the biggest party in my hometown with like 22% of the votes but it still is excluded from government coalitions in all of Flanders
because socialists and liberals and christians and ecologists like to make it a private club
That Flemish party had to rename itself and was condemned for having the slogan Flanders for the Flemish
The opposition is now doing the  work of this Flemish party cause they are afraid this party growing every four years is a clear menace for the status quo and they want to convince the citizens they are now listening to them

At least in Belgium I could get by on speaking French or some Dutch, I cannot say the same in Luxembourg, where I should have been able to speak French, as it is the most spoken language there, even more so than Letzeburgish, but I encountered several situations where Italians working there spoke or acted at least like they knew practically no French.  I suppose you can run into that situation now that the EU has opened up the floodgates of inter EU free movement of workers, so that now Romanians are in Ireland speaking Romanian and not English etc.

Frankly I am not afraid of people speaking Spanish in the USA, I have known it since I was a kid and my best friend was Mexican.  I enjoy speaking it when I want to, but don't feel as though I should be forced to as I have in some situations when I lived in Texas.  I actually do enjoy ordering meals in Latin restaurants here in Spanish, it kind of throws some people off a bit at first to have someone obviously not Hispanic speaking Spanish where I live.

I worked in Luxemburg
It is fairly well separated in German speakers and French speakers
I recently worked in Liege in Belgium virtually all streetrepairs were being done by Polish who did not speak any language other then Polish and Money
They had blocked off with their asphalt truck a one way street were my client firm was and with gestures they told me to go around the block and ignore the one way street sign or drop dead . I went around the block and ignored the one way street sign since the street was blocked by their truck anyway .
As to Belgium I think Flemish people are a strange breed : if a foreigner talks to us in the street we will speak 3 to 5 languages more or less fluently
if it is a non Flemish speaking Belgian that approaches us unsolicited we might get amnesia and only remember our mother tongue .
Strange people are we
Invite in house only those trusted are Yoda says  ;D

I liked that in Luxembourg with the Luxembourgers, they would speak 5-6 languages without hesitation.  And here I am a curiousity because I speak three(English, Russian, and Spanish), with lesser amounts of French and Dutch.  The BeNeLux countries would have to speak a lot of languages, there are lots of languages right nearby.

I know lots of people from here complain about being in France and people not speaking English, I found that lots spoke English, that is if you spoke French, then all of a sudden they wanted to speak English, because you tried French.

And Americans drink watery p!sswater beer.  Only in Europe can you get real beer.  You may lament living in Fleming or Walloon land, but at least you have good beer, good chocolate and feminine attractions that are to die for.

I will agree and the genus of it all....Americans started making Lite Beer! More water, great taste for more money and the fools over here bought right into it!!! Of course a bottle of water now cost more than a beer in most places and we recently found out one of the distributors of that fine bottled water was selling tap water!!! $1.30 for free tap water, and they pay it, but cry over the price of gasoline.
And none of them are screaming at one of the biggest rip offs in world industry----computer printer ink cartridges-----if you bought it by the gallon it would be at least $1,500.00 or more.

Guess I would get along great with Paint Your Wagon as any friend of Yoda's is a friend of mine!!!  ;D  ;D

Yep I replaced my old HP printer with a newer model (half size cartridges included) for only double the price of a set of black and color cartridges

I then turned the program to draft ,extra light extra quick drying , black only unenhanced because I found out that even printing only black and white red or blue will be used and your color cartridge will be empty without ever printing a color picture
And you have to check regularly because if you did not do the settings properly it will revert to using your color cartridge without you knowing it

Consumer intrests also said that the indicator cartridge empty can light up even with 50% left in the cartridge on some manufacturers models

Sometimes that doesn't help, either.  LOL  When I was younger, we once found generic beer.  White can, black stencil lettering and the upc right under the word beer.  $4 for a case.  We figured "why not?"  After a couple of sips we realized why.  We were cheap and didn't want to waste even a few bucks, but couldn't force the stuff down!  LOL

Hi Muckey
I am a very untypical Belgian I prefer wine to beer which is heresy over here
Our Triple is 12° ( whiskey is 42° and strongest wine is like 12°)
Danger is that served too cold when you stand up you fall down after three of those dark beers  :o

What most of you probably do not know this weekend the prime rate was sent down 1/4 percent and Bear Stearns shareholders found out they were bankrupt but got rescued by JP Morgan paying all of 2 dollars for shares which were more then 80 I think last week
Bear Stearns was bougth for 250 million dollars , yes pocketmoney
The FED pledged like 20 Billion dollar to help this take over and rolled 30 days loans automatically into 90 days loans and opened a new moneywindow for the
PD  that is primary dealers only ( I think that is the guys that resell the 30 years and other US Bonds )
The dollar is in freefall at this moment and all of the world is looking at the US stockmarket to see they survive today without crash
Gold is 1025 dollars at this moment and silver is down 0.51 % in Euro but gold is up 0.85% in Euro
