The way inflation is there at the moment, these notes will probably set you back at least 20c. LOL

The underprinting is done by Giesecke & Devrient in Munich, currently RBZ is paying €500000 a week for paper from them, then the final printing is done in Harare.  With this arrangement one ponders given the rather simplistic design that counterfeiting could be a problem.  But with the largest denomination only worth an also sinking US$2 perhaps it is not worth their effort.

Pretty soon I think the US will be doing the same thing, creating more inflation to wipe out all it's debts so it's government will finally be solvent after 10 years of huge budget deficits.

I sincerely hope that the US is able to inflate away their worries
Desinflation is the worst of nightmares

On the subject of currencies declining in value, I will trade uncirculated USA $ bills 1:1 for your Ozzie notes, especially the $5.  At least the USA $ bearer cheques are marginally more attractive than the Rhodesian notes.

If no one has been able to help you send me an email and I can see what I can get you in the way of UNC $5. I will have to visit a couple of banks and see if there are any around at present.
