I have been at the Redcliffe Show for the last few days. The Redcliffe Coin and Phonecard Club had a display so just finished after purchasing some coins at the show.
Here is what I am still after:
HALF PENNY
1946, 1953, 1955, 1956.
PENNY
1957.
THREEPENCE
1935.
SIXPENCE
1935, 1941, 1942, 1945.
SHILLINGS
Nil
FLORINS
1935, 1936, 1940, 1941, 1942, 1943, 1944, 1945, 1946, 1963.
HALF CROWN
1934, 1937, 1941, 1942, 1943, 1944, 1945, 1953, 1961, 1963, 1965.
I tend to work on certain denominations, complete them then move onto next lot. That is why I have all of the shillings and am missing a few of the higher denominations.
Let me know if you have any of these thanks AJ

Barry, When I've finished the task I'm doing at present I'll check my NZ spares to see if I can help you out in any way.
Probably be 3-5 days or so.
-
I need a 1986 Thailand one baht to finish the set, if anyone has one.
Will look like this on the coin...

The UK 1981 10p is MSO.
OK, I have 1974 10p; 1977 & 1987 5p. Have put them aside and will post them next time I go out, maybe later today, it depends on my chauffeur.
Just home from shopping, the 3 coins as above are on their way. :)
-
Barry, I've looked at my spare Pre-Dec NZ and sorry, I don't have any that you are looking for.
There are so few that I do have, I might make up a list so others can see what is available. It shouldn't take me long.
-
Thanks for that Barry I'll suss what I have but no promises and Steve could you put a link up to the coin you want please as anything with funny writing goes into a separate bag so there's middle east there as well as different asia coins. I'll have to find out what's what and sort them out into there countries one day

I see why I don't have one now. Low mintage compared to the others.

Gee I'm not having much luck finding anyone's wants, I'm all around the mark but can't quite hit it sorry :(
You sure and 89, 2000 or 02 baht wouldn't do Steve, yet again only a couple of years out but a couple may as well be a century ;)
-
You sure and 89, 2000 or 02 baht wouldn't do Steve,
I have all those thanks. Just missing the one coin now to complete the set.
Thanks for looking though. :)

Hi Steve,
I checked my Thailand coins and i only have one 1 Bhat, but it is the wrong year. I did get a chance to sort though a large portion of my coins, while using your photo gallery to cross index and I found a HEAP of coins you are missing. I'll write up a list and send it to you! Have you received the package I sent you? I am still waiting on yours to arrive.
Talk soon,
Matt
-
Thanks for checking Matt and I look forward to seeing the list.
Your package has not arrived yet, but I just received the package from Jim
and I think he sent that about a week before you, so I expect to see yours
next week. It's been 8 days since I sent the package to you, so you should
see it soon.

Coins have been received. Thank you Nancy.
5p set now complete from 1968 to 2014. :)

Steve,
I'll keep an eye out for your package!
I want to get one of these for my type set, it's the only Australian coin type I am missing now:
http://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces17319.html
Is this a coin you could source in OZ for me? I'm not too worried about condition, just authenticity!
I think I could fill a lot of holes in your collection with a deal involving this coin!
Let me know!
All the best,
Matt
PS, I still need to type out the list of what I've found so far. I'll do that today or tomorrow...
-
I'll see what I can do, but they are an expensive coin.
Mintage is only 54,000, so finding one in a lower grade
that will be at a reasonable price might be a challenge.
I'll let you know. :)
-
Yes going to be very hard and lucky if you can get a 34/35 for under $200 :(

I figured I'd be in the $200-300 range. I just want to make sure it's not a counterfeit, and I would rather have someone with more experience than me pick one out! Plus, if I can trade for it, even better!
Steve, I sent you an email with the list of coins.
Thanks everyone!
-
about the cheapest way I know to get one Matt is in these sets :( sometimes you can find them on ebay individually

Don't contemplate this one, I reckon it's most likely a fake.

The toning seems off and extra dark next to a lot of the lettering on the one you posted Nancy. I would look for a slabbed one if I was going after that coin. Good luck Matt :).

Good advice, everyone! Thanks!
Steve: I am guessing from the price I paid ($15) that the one being sent to me is actually KM# 27: http://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces9267.html
Although, I would be ECSTATIC if I am wrong! ;D
I'll let you know!
When I made my list, I did not realize how rare this coin was. Oh well, that is how type collecting goes! Now, I guess I need to decide which child to sell so I can pick up one of these for my NZ type set: http://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces24265.html
-
I'm trying to remember which coins I received. I know it was a KM#33 that I asked for and I think I recall seeing the rider on the horse. Hopefully you will find out soon. Don't sell the kids, as one day they grow up and earn an income, then you can give them your wishlist for Christmas. :)
-
Well I have 4, so selling one shouldn't hurt! ;D
Oh, man, don't get my hopes up about that coin!
-
If it is the coin you have been waiting for, then I should have kept it. I don't have one either. LOL
