Title: Coins from Mexico
Post by: Mortyr2012 on January 14, 2009, 08:19:10 AM
Hi

Maybe you guys can help me with this..
As you may know I am member of a coin forum that is very interested in coins from all over the World. Uncirculated and just issued coins are very interesting for me and my own collection and for quite a lot of members of this German community..
Currently I am looking for somebody from Mexico who could offer me these coins (see below).. I have already contacted some collectors from Mexico via Email, but I haven't gotten any responces yet, so I guess they are not interested in trading with me, or my emails were just moved into their spam filters..

So my question is : Do you know a collector from Mexico who is always interested in coins from all over the World and who is a fair trader? I am especially looking for these bi-metallic coins :

http://www.banxico.org.mx/billetesymonedas/didactico/monedas_FabCaractHis/mon_conmemorativas/mon_revolucion.html and
http://www.banxico.org.mx/billetesymonedas/didactico/monedas_FabCaractHis/mon_conmemorativas/mon_independencia.html

Thanks in advance!

Best regards,
Marvin

My wife and I brought back quite a few coins from Mexico during our last visit there.  I am currently searching for the storage box which contains them.  I have promised Triggersmob I would send him some.  If I have duplicates, I would be happy to send them to you also.

Our oldest son and his family plan a vacation to Puerto Vallarta in March.  I will be sure to have him bring back coins.  I would share them with you and Triggersmob.

Regarding friends or coin collecting associates in Mexico -- sorry, I don't have any.

 :) :) :) :)

Hi Marvin,

You could try Julio:
http://espanol.geocities.com/monedashispaniarum/index.htm

Traded with him a couple years ago, nice guy.

Or Astrid, never traded with her, but she's been trading for years:
http://www.angelfire.com/tx/MONEDASMEX/
Or mail (angelfire has too many "pop-ups" for my taste): fugagva@prodigy.net.mx

Hi,

I have contacted Astrid in the past, but she hardly replied to my Emails, I guess she won't answer at all to my last mails  :(
Maybe Julio can help me with the coins I still look for, I will give it a try and hope that he understands English since his whole web page is written in Spanish I think.

Thanks!

@coincrusader: That would be great! You may contact me when you have anything available for me, right? :)

Best regards,
Marvin

Not a single moving thing or pop up On IE 7
I got a flemish version but if you look below the bar Http etc you have a bar that ends in Help and to the left I got Extra wich may be called something else in your version . click here and you should see pop up blocking . That should allow you to block all pop ups
I also block all flash and all active X .
If I want any of that I go to Firefox

Maybe you could try someone from Alonso's list:
http://www.terra.es/personal4/jo7lan/listadocol/mejico.html

Not many names seem familiar, but Daniel Colombres used to be in the CP forum, give it a try.

Or even a Mexican auction site:
http://www.dereto.com.mx
...made a couple of nice buys there. :D

Up to 18 months ago I was on win98 second edition and IE6
I do not have the machine up and running anymore but I had a pop up blocker I think as assistant program
If you search " pop up blocker" you will find an assistant program that will work

Hi Jose,
this is also a very good piece of advice, thank you very much!
I have found this list earlier before and tried to contact some people from Mexico (this is were I know Astrid from - She seemed to have the best feedback compared to the people from Mexico), but so far I haven't been able to have a trade at all. I will ask Daniel, too!

Thanks once more ;) :)

We better stop talking about Mexican females and well, you know.  Mortyr is younger member of our fine organisation, and we would not desire to pollute his impressionable mind with generous Latin ladies.

40 Years ago the German Television allready broadcasted uncensered films with naked young girls and films with rape etc . Not like hypocritical america with its advertising and XXX films on video in every shop . In Nurenberg when you drive outside the city you may see parked cars with scantely clothed ladies on top
and the pimp standing next to them to haggle the price  :P

Here is a copy of a post placed by Ellekitty in a similar thread...

The best I can offer anyone interested in Mexican coinage, is getting in touch with my friend Fernando Razo, at mexicancoinclub@yahoo.com .  He's always interested in Mexican coins and more specifically, getting more people to collect them.

Hope this helps.
