2007 Individual Award of Honor
October 09, 2007, 12:33:41 AM
It is only fitting that the first 2007 Individual Award of Honor to hang in our castle's Hall of Fame go to Daniel Carr of Designs Computed for his outstanding designs on the 2007 KOTCT Medallions. But I will not stop there as NO other company would have treated us with the same respect and understanding which we received from Daniel. Bluntly put we were lost in the beginning on this quest and Daniel provided us with the necessay information needed to proceed and he then went above and beyond what any other manufacturer would have done. He kept in touch, he gave a bunch of strangers on the internet a payment plan which required a huge amount of faith and trust in us as no internet group had ever managed to have their own medallions struck, at least to our knowledge, and to compound it all the memers of the KOTCT were scattered all over the world! He stuck with us, provided information as requested and kept us posted throughout the process. He detailed the costs, step by step, so we knew where we stood and what was needed. We honored our comittment and Daniel Carr, in return has honored us.

This 2007 Individual Award of Honor goes to Daniel Carr of Designs Computed. The KOTCT SALUTES YOU!

Much deserved. Thank you Daniel.
Do we have someone with the skills to make up a Certificate, that we can post to Daniel.
I think it would look nice hanging on his wall.

Congratulations and thank you, Knight Carr.

I can only assume that a lot of the members of the  Knights were unaware of the amount of effort and trust that went into producing the medals.

I personally would like to say 'thank you' to yourself and those of the Knights involved who perservered to the point where the Medals reached fruition. And possibly add a thank you from all the other Knights who have  been able to enjoy the fruits of your labours.

It is a credit to the theme and ideals that our Forum is based on.

To those involved, and they know they are , I say THANK YOU.

regards,

How often should we induct someone into the Hall of Fame?
Should it be an annual award?
Maybe on the anniversary of our creation.

We will offer up the HONOR as needed. Quite frankly, before the crash there was a group award of honor for everyone of the Knights and Knightesses who made the 2007 medallions a reality. Unless you were on my end of this and saw the response from collectors all over the world, sending their hard earned money to some guy in Indiana, it is hard to realize the feelings involved in this total project. Thousands of dollars were committed by a very small group of people to do the impossible. WE did just that! When I look at my medallions, and I do daily as they are on display, I am still amazed what we as a group have done!  I can't hardly wait to see that beautiful Knightess for the 2008 medallion that Daniel is working on!

My congradulations to you also Mr. Carr! An artist you are, and a great one by far!

I received your package Friday and I am still in awe at the detail of those coins. I actually can't say I have a favorite because they all are special in their own way. Also, I work with some good people who are interested in your work too. I let them look the coins I had received over and several are wanting to place orders themselves. Thanks again for everything!

Just wanted to keep this thread alive, and open for the membership.

I trust we will continue this tradion each time our anniversary date rolls around.

And, don't we need a small plaque (or something) to award to our first winner?
